Hillsdale Renaissance
National Academy of the Building Arts
Where has all the beauty gone?
Hillsdale Renaissance is starting an academic institution for training artisans in the traditional architectural trades. These trades maintain and create beautiful traditional buildings, but are facing an unprecedented labor shortage.
Copernican partnered with Hillsdale Renaissance to create this mini-documentary. We filmed interviews with highly skilled experts in these trades in order to capture the scale of this nationwide problem and how this institution can make a real difference.
Filmed in New York, Washington, DC, Indiana, and Michigan.
Produced in Michigan.
